This little coffee maker makes great Vietnamese coffee. The workmanship is not what I would call "quality" -- but it's inexpensive and does the job. You simply un-screw the inside "filter" plate, put in enough Vietnamese-grind coffee to cover the bottom about 1/8" deep, and screw the finter plate down to compress the coffee. Place the brewer on top of your cup and fill the top with hot water. The hot water slowly filters through the compressed coffee and drips into the cup. It should take 4-5 minutes for all the water to drip through. The brew (drip) time is controlled by how tightly the coffe has been compressed by the upper filter plate, so you may have to experiment with it to get the perfect brew (tight = slow drip, loose= fast drip). It's very easy, and it doesn't take long to get the hang of it -- and the coffe is so good.
