This is rated for 6 to 12 cups. I would be inclined to suggest it ought to be rated for 4 to 8 cups. It does exactly what it is supposed to do but the grounds reach the top & start to spill over. This may be a function of my coffee maker and wouldn't apply to other but 5 scoops for me is at least one too many.

I bought this hoping it would work in my Bunn coffee 10-12 cup coffee maker. Well, yes it did, but it's too small, as in the height is not enough for 10-12 cups. (I would say it's about 1/2 inches short.) Maybe 6-8 cups would work fine. However, it's study and well-made. Unfortunately, the coffee grounds overflowed if I put 3, 1/4 cup scoops into it and made a mess. I never have found a reusable filter that really works for me.Update - April 25, 2013Someone commented that in the product description it notes that this filter is not intended for Bunn coffeemakers. That is correct, so I have to give it 4 stars and I really shouldn't have purchased it. I overlooked the caveat in the product description.
