I bought my Farberware coffee pot at a thrift shop and was enjoying the great coffee that it produced until it burned out. Someone (who shall remain anonymous) forgot to put the water in and it blew the fuse. I thought it was a goner until my husband unscrewed the bottom and located the problem. How nice that the Farberware company still makes the fuses for these vintage pots! I'm back in business!
Up in the Air
After finding the correct replacement part was not available I ordered this to see if it would work on my expensive coffee urn. Worth the price to find out. Did not work but soon after I received an email from Goodmans that the part was now in stock. I ordered two to find that out they took this WRONG part, soldered tabs on it and called it the original part. However, I tried it and it worked even though it appeared to be too close to the heater coil. I hope it lasts but I have extras to try in the long run. I was close to hard wiring it but this was the safest solution. Remind the persons that use these urns to fill them with water prior to plugging them in to keep this part from failing (or working as it was designed).
