After pouring the coffee, it leaked around the BOTTOM of the carafe. I was going to return it but it is a very nice carafe and I wanted to keep it or one like it. We took a chance and removed the bottom and found the seal at the neck was not seated properly. We carefully lined up the seal with the neck at the top and tightened the bottom again and now it works fine! I like it and am glad I read previous reviews - it sounds like another user had the same problem. I would have given it a strong five if the leak could have been avoided.

It's cheap, it's solid and it insulates way better than I had expected. It's almost as good as my OXO Liquiseal thermoses.

It's a nice carafe but arrives wrong armed, because that we lost our first coffee, I had to open and rebuild it, after that works fine, except to cap you will need to be strong to do it.
