Stick to the Coffee Bean Vacuum or the Planetary Design Airscape. Both push air out effectively. Neither creates a perfect vacuum, of course, but they get close enough for me.The Coffee Bean Vacuum is a little gimmicky, but it actually works. If you're more practical, the Airscape does the same thing in a more primitive way (you push the air out by hand). This thing? It's more like a thermos (without insulation). It doesn't really push the air out like the others do. The product name and description is fairly misleading. Other reviews on other sizes of this product apparently say the same thing I'm saying. It does push some of the air out, but there are better options for coffee.It might be OK for some. It's also kind of plasticky as products go. For a little more, you might try the Bean Vac or the Airscape.

This container is really easy to use and does a great job of keeping my coffee beans fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the Tightvac.

These do a great job for keeping my coffee fresh! I have noticed a big difference in freshness since I started using these. The beans (i grind my own) stay nice and dark and you can tell that the oils do not dry out of the bean. Item is just like it was pictured, the shipping was decent, and packaging was great.
