If you are upgrading from a built in or plastic tamper, this product is wonderful. If you are downgrading or this tamper weighs less than your current tamper, you may not like it. I gave mine away when I sold my machine. I purchased a 58mm from Rattleware and it weighed significantly more and felt much better. When I visited my friend to whom I sold this tamper, I found it to feel very cheap and underwhelming.I would not but this to replace a Rattleware or the like, but would buy this only to replace a built in tamper or plastic tamper. If you are on what you consider your final machine, perhaps invest in something a bit more hefty and solid. Maybe it's just me, but I enjoy a weapon like tamper with my espresso machine and this doesn't give me that feeling. If you're in to the art of espresso and the zen, this just won't cut it.

I'm not really sure how to review a tamper, except to say that this one looks really sharp being stainless, and it has a good heft to it in order to get a good espresso tamp.
