Perhaps like you, I once thought a filter is a filter; however, when I used the discount version, it was not quite tall enough and sometimes grounds would find their way into my coffee. The discount version was not as efficient, either, in filtering the coffee. Then I searched and searched the Internet for the best price on Bunn filters. Would you believe I found one site who charged $9.99 for one packet of 100 filters? Yes, I did. So you do the math: 12 x 100 = 1200 filters for a fraction of the per item price, delivered to my door. We are absolutely happy and satisfied with this purchase.

I gave these only 3 stars because I was hoping these would be taller. They say on the box they are 2.75 inches high with three inches across the bottom, so if you laid one flat they would be a solid 8.5 inches across. They are not. They are closer to 8.25 inches across, even when almost ironed out flat. That might not sound like a big deal, but these are actually a tad smaller then the last batch I bought from Bunn and even those are not high enough.We usually do not even use the amount of coffee the can says to.....we make it weaker with less, but still there are many times grounds are found in the coffee and around the very top of the filter funnel. You would think buying a higher end coffee maker and filters MADE BY BUNN they could make them as high as the funnel they give for it. They really need to be like 8.75 inches across at least.I was hoping this batch would be a bit bigger, seeing that buying a dozen boxes of 100 is over a 3 year supply. If it wasn't for getting a pot of coffee made in like 3 minutes I would get rid of the Bunn and get a coffee maker that has filters that keep the grounds out of your coffee. If I could actually find slightly bigger filters I'd send these back. These are official Bunn coffee filters, you get 12 boxes of 100, and they say Bunn all over them....these are not an off brand. Bunn needs to start making filters that actually fit.

We purchased these because the ones at the supermarket are not as tall and the coffee grinds spill over into the coffee pot. Do not be fooled, the 1/4 inch height difference make all the difference.
