I purchases this product as a gift for my boyfriend this year. He is a wildland firefighter and is always traveling. He doesn't have a lot of space in his pack or the time in the mornings to make coffee the conventional way. Since this product is collapsable, it fits perfectly in his pack and can travel with him everywhere he goes! Plus, it's sillicone, so heat isn't an issue, it can't be ruined and makes for easy clean up. He seems very pleased with my purchase, and is the envy of the rest of the crew!

Mostly my title says it all--this filter holder is wobbly. It collapses too easily and also is too flexible where the top meets the base. It would be fine for travel or a small kitchen, where the collapsibility was important, but I bought it mostly to have one that is not plastic. The porcelain one we tried was too small in the base, so I thought this might work instead. It's ok, just not great. I mean, at some point I might as well just shell out for a french press.
