I intend this as a review of the 12 oz. Motta Imported Italian Espresso Milk Steaming pitcher, not the 16 oz., because that one is too big for steaming milk in my machine. The 12 oz. Motta is perfect for steaming for one or two espressos at a time (depending on how much milk per shot you want). I actually steam soy, rice or almond milk and also homemade hazelnut milk in this. Anyway, don't bother ordering the less expensive pitchers because a) they're still pricey and b) this one works the best. Just go ahead and get the Motta. We've been using it nearly daily for over a year and it looks new. This pitcher is heavier and has a better spout for pouring and making designs than the cheaper one with a square spout that I also had ordered. Finally, I like that it is made in Italy.

Motta is an Italian manufacturer of high quality household stainless products. This is the nicest pitcher out there and worth every penny. It is made from heavy gauge 18/10 304 stainless steel and is highly polished. Pair this with the Motta knock box and you really have a nice looking setup that will last. The opening is a bit too small for my medium sized hands to reach inside but it is still easy enough to clean and dry. The spout on this pitcher is really nice and pours so much better than my old Italian pitcher without a spout.The bottom end of the handle is not attached to the pitcher. I only mention this because the pitcher angle in the photo makes it look like it is connected. You can find this for less at Chris' Coffee Service.

Well made heavy duty steaming picture, a bit pricy but again probably worth it (made in Italy vs. China). As far as the shape and size, this is good for two cappuccino's or one latte. Didn't notice any appreciable difference in the pour and how it may improve latte art because you either know how to do it or don't.
