The hole was much too small.I foolishly tried to push my thermometer through the hole.Didn't work. Wedged the thermometer.Big mistake. Removing the digital thermometer ripped it apart and broke the wiring.Even it the hole was big enough, the clip does not realy clip on to a latte milk pitcher.Don't even think of buying this.A one star rating is too high.

The hole size and alignment location doesn't allow for a thermometer with a regular size stem to be inserted.

I have the thermoworks probe and it is too large for the two holes in the clip.I will keep the clip and drill a larger size hole.It does appear as if it would be stable clipped onto the side of a cooking pot.Looking at the picture you will notice that side with the two holes, also has the longer leg and is curved toward the center of the pot.
